We are thrilled to welcome authors Tariq Goddard and Andy Sharp who will offer readings from their recent work and answer questions about their careers in writing and publishing.
Tariq Goddard was born in London in 1975. He read Philosophy at King’s College London. His first three novels were short listed for various awards including Whitbread (Costa) First Novel Award, Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize and the Commonwealth Writer’s Prize. His fourth and fifth books won the Independent Publishers Gold medal for Horror Writing and Silver medal for Literary Fiction respectively. Tariq will be reading from his novel High John the Conqueror (2022), and he’ll also be sharing information and answering questions relating to the publishing field as co-founder of Repeater Books.
Andy Sharp is a writer and multimedia artist. Since 2003, he has worked on English Heretic, an autonomous creative research project. Pioneering the form of literary and aural aesthetics, he has released over a dozen albums and booklets. He has talked at academic conferences and countercultural events on a wide range of subjects drawn from his research. He has an MSc in Neuroscience from Kings College and lives in London. Andy will be reading from his work The English Heretic Collection: Ritual Histories, Magickal Geography (2020) and answering questions about the work as well as his multi-media creative practice.
