Christiana Spens is the author of The Fear (2023), The Portrayal and Punishment of Terrorists in Western Media: Playing the Villain (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019) and Shooting Hipsters (Repeater, 2016). She holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews, and before that read Philosophy at Cambridge. Her writing and artwork has appeared in various publications including The Irish Times, LitHub, Prospect, Glamour, Stylist, Dazed, the Quietus, The London Magazine, NYRB and Studio International. She lives in London.
