Your Body of Water is an autofictional romance in six parts—an odyssey through sex, death, nature, and the feminine.
From Sappho’s Greece to the underground BDSM clubs of Berlin, from Lisbon in lockdown to the vast Australian outback of the 1950s, the narrator drifts across time and place—fleeing the terrible disclosure of one crime as they move toward the historical reckoning of another. With each new destination comes a different voice, a new authorial identity, and the haunting presence of figures from mythology and literature: Leda, Ophelia, the Lady of Shalott, and Sappho herself.
A shape-shifting meditation on desire, violence, and storytelling, Your Body of Water blends genre and history, immersing the reader in a world where bodies and narratives dissolve and reform across generations and continents.

“Connor moves deftly from abstraction to representation; old-fashioned storytelling unfurls, blending mythology with autofiction, then suddenly barrels into the raw motion at its source… Your Body of Water made my heart race, like I was living life more intensely.”
